Monee Education Center (MEC) celebrated its first quarter awards on Friday, October 21, 2022, with a ceremony to honor students’ academic, leadership, attendance, and growth achievements during the first quarter of the semester. Students have worked extremely hard this first semester, making developmental and academic improvements, and the staff couldn’t be more proud. A few of the awards presented were Perfect Attendance, Positive Leadership, and Student of the Month.
The ceremony started with the Crete-Monee High School JROTC color guard posting of the colors. Superintendent Dr. Kara Coglianese, Board Member, Jeanine Galbraith, Monee Mayor, Dr. Therese Bogs, and various staff members presented the awards and certificates. The celebration continued with light refreshments and snacks afterward.
